Like my old boss, I prefer hope to fear, a positive vision and exciting journey to the dreary reality-check of what might go wrong. But the current dream of Brexit is a wild fantasy, and curiously at odds with what Boris used to believe.
I write as one who knows him well. For four years of my life, his was often the first voice I heard in the morning, the last at night. My wife complained there were three people in our marriage “and the blonde always seems to come first”.
